awesome mattress, pain is gone

I had 2 car accidents 20 yrs ago. I have had progessive pain since then. I've tried new mattresses and even added a 2" foam topper. My back always hurt. Eventually, my hips and shoulders began to hurt while sleeping. I even had to have a pillow under my knees. I began to mattress shop again. I went to Mattress Warehouse and Mattress Discounters. Both have comfortable beds. But at Mattress Discounters I found the Vivon Nurest Ultra 14" mattress. I layed on it and loved it. Both stores push you to try the Memory Foam mattresses which I do NOT like. They are hard. This mattress is soft, yet supportive. I no longer need a pillow under my knees. My hips and shoulders sink in, but the rest of me is supported. If this is too soft for some, Vivon has a 13" which is slightly firmer, and I think a 12" that is firmer yet. The mattress comes rolled like a giant cheese log in a heavy plastic, and again in a heavier plastic canvas making it easier to carry. Leave it rolled up, and carry to your destination, and then open it up. My only complaint is that it does not have handles on the mattress. It does have a smell, but we let it air out for 2 days and it's now tolerable. We've slept on it now for 3 days and I'm sleeping deeper, sounder, not tossing and turning, and not waking up in pain. I now wake up ready to go, instead of "What the heck happened..?" We also switched up to a king size mattress. I kick at night and my spouse jumps, twists, and plops when rolling over. Neither of us moves much now as we are finally comfortable. The movement now from my spouse is minimal. Now for even better news: go try out the mattress at a store. If you really like it, don't buy it at the store. Go buy it online. The cheapest the store offered me was $2000.00 for a king size. Plus they want tax and shipping on top of that. I went online where they all sell it for $1299.00, most offering free shipping and no tax. So I saved about $1000.00. The store does not sell a twin size, but online does. However, a twin will run you $1000.00!! You could buy a king and cut it in half and make two beds, if you're handy (electric turkey knife). I highly recommend this mattress. At a minimum, go try it and see for yourself. We're all different, but this mattress works for us.

Great Mattress

I've waited several months from when we ordered this to review it. At this point, it's now been 5 months of sleeping on it. Here's my thoughts.Shipping: It is HEAVY. I'm a large 6'4" man and this thing weighs a ton. Luckily the UPS man was awesome and helped me carry it into the hallway near our bedroom. Just make sure when you get it into position and cut the plastic that you are ready, this thing uncompressed VERY fast. Was fully "inflated" within 5 min.Smell: I didn't really notice any smell, nothing that was off-putting or that kept me awake.SLEEP: Now for the important part! I sleep great on the mattress, but not as well as I was hoping. It is significantly more comfortable then any inner-spring mattress. It also is very different then memory-foam. This has an instant give and even better, and instant return to shape. It doesn't take a few min to conform to you, it does it instantly and when you move, it's near instantly back to normal shape. It also is very bouncy... which took a bit to get used to. My only complaint is that I like very soft mattresses. This is not soft enough for me. It has GREAT support. I can't complain there, I literally haven't had back pain in months, and I know this is the reason. I just have slept on some more expensive memory foam mattresses and have slept and not moved the entire night. With this mattress I still roll around a lot at night. Both my girlfriend and I wish it was a bit more soft, and she prefers firm mattresses. We'll see if it gets softer over time.
